Fred Colgan is the ISP Director and chief marketing officer. He was a contractor for 40 years, and built the Aprovecho campus. His international experience includes development work in Latin America, and he developed ARC’s initial project in Western Sudan. Lise Colgan assists with legal matters, bookkeeping and document preparation. A retired attorney and former technical writer and publisher in the medical field, she has a Bachelor’s degree from Lewis and Clark College, and a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. Lise is an accomplished pianist and gardener, and is fluent in Spanish. Contact Lise at:

Dennis Hartley coordinates business development and ARC's communications needs- website, still photography and video. He owned a furniture design company that manufactured in Latin America. He is fluent in French, and holds a degree in Architecture from Arizona State University. Contact Dennis at:

Jordan Kowalke is in charge of the development of the Autoclave – testing, training and logistics – using his 25 years of entrepreneurial experience to connect with medical organizations worldwide. He has a B.A. from the University of Washington in Business/Marketing/Communications, and is a master woodworker. Contact Jordan at:

Dave Lentz is the shop foreman, responsible for metalworking, production oversight and quality control. He has two Associates degrees from Clackamas Community College, one in Horticulture, the other in Landscape Practices. Contact Dave at:

Damon Ogle, Aprovecho Research Center’s chief design engineer, has been with ARC for ten years, and developed the 60 Liter Stove design. He has worked in Latin, China, India and Africa, establishing the first institutional stove pilot project in Uganda in 2007. He is a native Oregonian and a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering.
